Laboratory of Space Systems and Optomechanics

Texas A&M University College of Engineering

Employment

The Laboratory of Space Systems and Optomechanics (LASSO) at Texas A&M University is seeking motivated graduate students and postdoctoral candidates in Engineering, Physics, and related areas to join our dynamic group and conduct research in our on-going projects and international collaborations. Areas of interest include precision laser interferometry, cavity optomechanics, inertial sensing, quantum optics, and space technologies.

LASSO’s research involves technology development related to ground and space based gravitational wave observatories such as LIGO and LISA, as well as NASA efforts for future geodesy space missions, among other areas.

For further information, please contact Dr. Felipe Guzman.

Postdoctoral Positions

Interested postdoctoral candidates should feel free to contact Dr. Felipe Guzman directly.

Graduate student positions

Interested graduate student candidates will first have to be admitted to a graduate program in Engineering or Physics at Texas A&M University. Information on how to apply to our graduate programs can be obtained from the Office of Admissions.
